MARI envisions empowerment of vulnerable sections of the society to fight against poverty, injustice and the environmental degradation that threatens their basic livelihoods. This should lead to establishing conditions in favour of sustainable growth of the poor and marginalized sections and ultimately of the society.

She is lecturer by profession. Her whole family has a history of working for social cause. She was extremely impressed with MARI's work on Environment and Education. She made tremendous contribution in achieving MARI's objectives of Environmental Awareness and Quality Education. She is extending guidance and support services in the field of Education. She is currently holding the position of Vice Chairman in MARI.
