Natural Resources Management

  • Natural Resources Management is a key thematic program area of MARI with an aim of promoting sustainable development and securing livelihoods of communities depending on natural resources.
  • MARI also promotes mitigation and adaptation measures in response to climate variability and vulnerabilities.
  • We have been pro-actively engaged in finding solutions to issues concerning environmental conservation and protection, and natural resource based livelihoods.
  • With a greater focus on climate sensitive areas, it has been implementing a wide range of programs to build climate resilience in rain-fed areas, forest communities and water resources, with communities taking lead.

One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link
between man and nature shall not be broken.
