MARI has been instrumental in ensuring dignified and accessible sanitation solutions for elderly persons and persons with disabilities across 19 villages. By conducting detailed community assessments and identifying individuals with mobility challenges, MARI facilitated the distribution of 524 toileting chairs and 270 walkers, significantly improving safe access to sanitation facilities.
The project focused on promoting dignity, independence, and improved quality of life by providing customized assistive devices that enable beneficiaries to use toilets safely and comfortably. Through close coordination with local communities and stakeholders, MARI ensured that the support reached those most in need while contributing to the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM).
By enhancing sanitation accessibility and reducing physical barriers, MARI continues to promote inclusive development and improve the health and well-being of vulnerable individuals.
"MARI is committed to promoting inclusive sanitation by ensuring that elderly persons and persons with disabilities have safe, dignified, and accessible toilet facilities, improving their health, independence, and quality of life."
“Through accessible sanitation solutions, MARI continues to empower elderly persons and persons with disabilities with greater dignity, independence, and improved quality of life while building healthier and more inclusive communities.”
