About 85 Children of waste collectors have been provided access to preschool learning facilities. 120children in three slums of waste collectors were provided supplementary coaching to cope up with academic learning demands.
- 25Families were given a free supply of ‘take home ration’ and have benefitted every month.
- Children of Waste Collectors were facilitated to get Aadhar cards essential for government school admission.
- Enrollment of 27 children into primary school and 28into high schools. 11 dropped out children were readmitted in the primary school
The Teaching & Learning Material (TLM) prepared by the additional teacher appointed won the 1st Prize among 45 Schools participating in the District-Level TLM event.Two special tutors in three slums were employed to provide special support to identified 80 Children to recover from the learning loss. Project staff have organized community-level meetings and supported Parent meetings in Government schools with efforts contributing to improved enrollment and prevention of dropouts.

In collaboration with the Aqriti Foundation, MARI staff trained the children at the evening tuition centres on their academic subjects and overall development. 58 Children excitingly participated in the 10K / 5KRun organised by the Hyderabad Runners Association on 18th December 2022.

Objectives :
•Ensure minimum learning skills to 30-50 children below 5 years in two non-notified slums through a preschool/Child Care Center (Anganwadi).
• Ensure essential support systems in targeted three slums to enable the children to recover from the learning loss to prevent the risks of lowering academic performance & prevent eventual dropouts.
Goals
This project aims to promote biodiversity, enhance soil health, improve water retention, and provide a
sustainable source of income for farmers, by combining the elements of agriculture and forestry.
