COVID-19 Response & Relief Programme In INDIA

MARI played a crucial role in implementing the COVID-19 Response & Relief Programme, focusing on health, economic, and social recovery for Persons of Concern (POCs) and vulnerable communities. Through Child-Friendly Learning Spaces (CFLS), healthcare support, vaccination drives, and economic assistance, MARI ensured that affected individuals received essential aid and empowerment.

By establishing six CFLS centers and facilitating the enrollment of 226 children, MARI prioritized education continuity. Health interventions, including COVID recovery kits, vaccination programs, and medical referrals, provided much-needed healthcare access. MARI also empowered women and adolescent girls by promoting menstrual hygiene awareness and distributing dignity kits.

Economic resilience was strengthened through voucher-based support for PWSN households, business development cash grants, and skill training for women in literacy and numeracy. Additionally, MARI actively addressed gender-based violence and psychological distress by training Barefoot Counsellors and Community Health Volunteers in essential psychosocial and legal support services.

Through its comprehensive approach, MARI successfully contributed to relief, recovery, and resilience-building, ensuring that affected communities could rebuild their lives with dignity and support.
